Lone Star HOPE Volleyball SummerFest 2026 is live!

Consider this our petition to make SummerFest registration opening day the official first day of spring… because it sure feels like it!

No, seriously. Milder weather, incredible excitement, and the feeling that warmer days are just around the corner all converge into this one magnificent day that is honestly probably one of our Top 3 Favourite Days of the Year (alongside SummerFest event day, and the Celebration of HOPE where we present the funds to our recipient charities).

First things first, though! You may have noticed that we’ve got ourselves a new name around here. That’s because we’ve got a brand new title partnership with the amazing Lone Star Texas Grill, and we shall henceforth be known as Lone Star HOPE Volleyball SummerFest. They hosted our official Launch Party at The Lone Star Loft last night, and we had an absolute BLAST.

If you’re not familiar with us, Lone Star HOPE Volleyball SummerFest is a July staple in the Ottawa summer. We’re many things at once: the world’s largest single-day charity beach volleyball tournament, an epic concert lineup, a party zone with the hottest outdoor dance floor, an annual fundraiser for local charities, and a volunteer-driven festival. We’ve got food trucks and artisan vendors, energetic emcees on the beach and on the concert stage, and a whole bunch of sunny, positive vibes.

2026 is our 44th year, and we couldn’t be more proud of everything we’ve done to get here! But more than anything, we are so grateful to every single person who has registered a team, bought a concert ticket, sponsored our event, set up as a vendor, made a donation, or helped us in whatever way they could.

So, what’s in store for this year?

We’ve got 4 different ways for you to sign up your team, in 3 different divisions. Every player in each division receives lunch, as well as a wristband that gives you access to both the Main Bar for the concert, and the HOT Zone for dancing and party times! But each division has its own thing, so make sure to choose the one that fits your style:

Recreational is all about the vibes. It’s self-refereed, no spiking or overhand serves are allowed, and there are no playoffs. If you’re just here for a good time, this is the one for you!
Competitive is exactly how it sounds - it’s for the experienced players, the athletes, the hardcores and the ones itching for the spirit of healthy competition. You’ll have a referee for your matches, and you can spike and overhand serve. There’s a playoff bracket, semi-finals and a Championship game, with some sweet prizes and medals waiting at the finish line.
Corporate is the VIP, team-bonding experience. While play is recreational (no spiking or overhand serves here, either), you’ll have a referee, a playoff bracket, and a chance to win the Division Championship - complete with prizes and a trophy for your office. You’ve got an exclusive VIP section in the Main Bar to watch the concert, and a dedicated fast lane in the HOT Zone party bar for your bevvies. Lunch has an extra special VIP menu, and your team will get a parking pass for one of the on-site lots. You’ll also be recognized as a “Friend of HOPE,” meaning your company name will be printed in our Event Guide that gets distributed to every team, and you’re allowed to bring your company-branded tent and shirts to the beach.
Competitive Plus is that blend of both worlds. You’ll compete in the Competitive Division, but get all the VIP perks of a Corporate team (including the “Friend of HOPE” status, so this is particularly exciting if you’re an experienced office of volleyball players). This is the choice to make if you’re a corporate group with a competitive edge, or a competitive group with a desire for VIP access.

Once you’ve chosen your division and registered your team, all that’s left to do (for now) is to activate that Team Portal in your confirmation email, add and invite your players to join your team, and sign those digital waivers ahead of game day!

As mentioned above, every player will get a wristband that grants access to both the HOT Zone for partying with the DJ, and the Main Bar for the concert. Well, you’ll be stoked to know that we’ve got an INCREDIBLE lineup set to take the stage this summer, and you won’t want to miss out!

Headlined by the highly energetic, wildly fun duo USS (Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker), we can basically guarantee one of the most memorable shows of your entire life. You’ll also find yourself singing and dancing along with the iconic k-os, the epitome of summer vibes. Earlier in the afternoon, you’ll get to party with our HOPE RockFest 2025 showcase winners and local heroes The New Hires, with the whole shebang kicked off by local 4-piece The Rambles.
